South West France quality modernisation sleeps up to six, private pool, outstanding setting

Set in stunning countryside, with views in all directions, "La Bergerie", Mas del Sol, is the original farmhouse of a small "corps de ferme ". Built in the 18th century from local stone it had fallen into disrepair and has been restored sympathetically and to a very high standard by its owners.

Two double en suite bedrooms placed on the ground floor ensure cool nights, plus a third bedroom with bathroom on the second floor mean six people, plus one extra infant, can be accommodated with comfort and privacy. The first floor offers a modern kitchen and dining area. The kitchen opens onto a large balcony, also accessible from the garden via a wide staircase.

The garden has a quaint stone building serving as the pool house, where you can change, lounge in the shade if it's too hot or watch the stunning sunsets. With no light pollution sitting out to stargaze is a real adventure. The pool is 9x4 metres, so a morning swim is possible just as much as an afternoon cooling float.

The rural setting does not mean Mas del Sol is isolated. Villages are just 6 kms away with all commerces, but you can really be away from it all if you choose.
